You'd think I'd learn...

I'm sitting around when it suddenly occurs to me to clean and fold laundry. So in order to distract myself from the fiendish pull of the interweb I throw in a movie. Which movie you ask? The Return of the King. Why is this a problem you ask? Because it's the third in a series. Any of my friends and family can tell you that if I skip ahead in a book ( Read more... )

I must have missed the post wherein you confirmed you'd ditched the job? If that's the case, feeling tired is a very normal response to the removal of a source of stress.

My best friend named her daughter 'Arwen' sixteen years ago, then found out it was from LOTR... and the girl was vastly relieved when Liv Tyler was cast as her namesake. I hadn't read any of the books at the time of her birth, so couldn't give her mother a head's up.

You did not miss the post, the post does not yet exist. She seems to have calmed down somewhat and because it's so slow tumbleweed won't roll through I'm down to just Mondays which is fine by me. With any luck at all I should be starting school in a couple weeks and I have every intention of having a new job to go with that auspicous occasion. As for my lack of energy I think it is more due to an increase in stress rather then the lack of it. Bleh. Stupid stress.

I am a paticular fan of the names Eowyn and Rohan but my husband is not. *sigh*

Just out of curiosity... would you be willing to beta some FFVII stuff? I know it's not your normal purview but I like to have my things beta'd, (I'm needy!), and I don't want to burn out the lady who had beta'd my other FFVII stuff. It's not exactly pressing but I thought I'd ask...

Ooh, I do like Rohan; the problem with the other is the child will forever have to spell it for the yobos who only know the English spelling. I am the proud owner of a somewhat unusual name, and have spent the first twenty-five years of my life spelling it. Then I married my boy, and now have spent sixteen years correcting people on both names.

Sure, sling it my way...I'd be more than happy to have a look at some more of your writing!

Yeah, I'm with you on the name goodness. Both my maiden and maiden names are easy as pie to spell but my first name is cheerfully unphonetic, long and spectacularly foriegn sounding, not to mention lending itself to the mockery of twits. Thanks Dad! Ah well, it's all part of the specialness of me now. My husband's name is short but unusual so he's very sympathetic. Our youngins will get interesting names but mostly phonetic ones. Ayomide is going to curse us in perpetuity though...

Yay! Thank you!
