You can assume if you're not explicitly mentioned, but Minnie knows you (and likes you), you get an envelope in the campus mail containing a cocktail napkin with an anime-esque portrait of yourself done in black ink and the words: Happy Holidays! and Minnie's signature in one corner

When Minnie comes back from vacation, she finds a small selection of packages on her bed. They include a chessboard made of purple heartwood for the black squares and Brazilian satinwood for the white squares, (which means they're yellow) with the edge-framing being vermillion wood. The pieces are hand-carved, of wood matching the squares and can be stored within the board. With it is a frame, with small photographs of various places, from Cavendish, Bartleby and the Bahamas, some in black and white, some in color, artfully arranged in the frame.
