Hey everyone! Long time lurker, occasional poster here.

Just a quick and potentially daft question about ground school;
I'm getting ready to start my ground schooling, but I've recently been told that if I were to fail my ground schooling, that I wouldn't be able to take it again here in Canada.

So my question is, is there any veracity to this

I'm from the US, so my knowledge of Canadian regs is 'light', but that doesn't sound in any way right to me.

We DO have some canadian pilots on this group, and I'm sure you'll be able to get a real answer from them.. but cursory examination of the Transport Canada regs looks to me like it's similar to the FAA regs, with a simple re-test limit.

Yeahhh... It didn't sound right to me either.

It might be my cousin[the one who forwarded me this]'s training school, too. But this is the first time I'd ever heard anything like this. Neither do any of my books mention this, and my partner who works as an aircraft mechanic hasn't heard of it either.

Found it! (I think):

You have to wait 14 days to retake any exam you fail. And you have 24 months to finish all of the exams (section above that one).

Good Luck!
