i'm not moving away, and katie's only moving down to eugene. i like my job and my boss likes me. i've befriended one of the most wonderful people on the planet and he lives right across the street when he's not touring the world being a rockstar. i learned to knit socks ( Read more... )

i love them! i cut my teeth on some enormous worsted weight socks that i'm going to felt into slippers, and i'm so ready to do some real socks.

his name's chet lyster. he's the guitarist for the eels, and also plays with a couple of other bands around portland.

it's still weird to me that he's semi-famous, because he's become my best friend. seriously, it's like he and katie and i are married -- we ate dinner together almost every night until he left for his latest tour yesterday. he won't be back till august. *sigh*
