[Well, someone's a bit disheveled, appearing in the video pickup; groggy, somewhat cranky and altogether looking decidedly the worse for wear. Naturally upon waking, the first thing Sephiroth does is check the Dreamberry for the date and time, and he scowls at it upon realizing just how much time has passed again, but sighs and runs a hand down

[When Soldier went barging off, Zack had the good sense to double back and get something out of the kitchen. So, when Sephiroth exits his room, Zack'll be there with a cup of ice water in his hand.]

Morning to you too.

[The smile is only half there, despite how relieved he is that Seph's up now. As for why it's so hot...]

AC's busted. It doesn't turn on anymore.

[Spying his dark-haired compatriot heading down the hallway, Sephiroth paused and grunted assent, cocking an eyebrow at the offered glass of water but not about to refuse, taking it with a grateful nod and draining half in one swallow, wiping sweat from his forehead with the back of the hand holding the glass.]

It's busted?

[That gets a look of incredulity.]

The system's less than a year old. How can it be busted?

[Naturally, like commanders everywhere, the General pads barefoot down the hallway to the thermostat on the wall, frowning at it as if by scowl alone will it be cowed into submission.]

You called a technician, I presume...?

[More a statement than a question. Sephiroth knows Zack's more than capable.]

[Zack seems distinctly comfortable in this heat, though that's probably because he's used to it more than anything else. The fact he's also barefoot might be helping, too.]

No idea, man. They're just breaking all over the city now. Think the heat's getting to 'em.

[And, while Sephiroth glares at the thermostat, Zack will just be nodding and heading back to the front room.]

Yeah, I called. Said he'd be here in a couple hours since they're so busy trying to fix the rest of 'em. First come first serve, or something.

[Muttering curses under his breath doesn't do anything to alleviate the heat or coerce the air conditioning unit to fire up again, so Sephiroth gives it another glare and, for the first time in a very long time, finds himself wishing for ShinRa's handy technology at the push of a button. But he just sighs, running a hand over his face again before following his counterpart into the main room and dropping down into his chair with a snort of discontent.]

That's just...lovely. Some dream world, hm? Can't even regulate it's damned temperature.

[But he quiets again, staring at the date on the Dreamberry before putting it aside.]

...nearly two weeks, I take it?

[Even Tifa's gotten hit by the heat. Her hair's up off of her shoulders in a messy bun. But, that's a smile on her face.]

Morning sleepyhead!

[Normally, Sephiroth doesn't sleep - as Tifa well knows - but when he does, it appears he sleeps like the dead. At least here, anyway. Nevertheless, he does manage to give her a somewhat cordial nod of greeting and a lopsided smile.]

So it seems, Miss Lockhart.

And don't yell at Zack. The heat's been going on for the past few days, unfortunately.

[That prompts an eyebrow to quirk. And Sephiroth can't help but chuckle.]

"Yell" at him? Dear, dear Tifa, I have no intention of yelling at him. [And Sephiroth doesn't have to yell. And Zack knows it, too.]

I see we're not the only ones suffering from the sweltering climate.

[While Train doesn't know why it's so hot in there, he has been taking care of Soldier. He figured it was the least he could do for living in his spare room.]

Sleep coma?

[And it's appreciated, too. Very much so.]

Apparently so.

[And Sephiroth still sounds so very tired. Mixed with "annoyed".]

Thank you. [Sephiroth's still somewhat grouchy. God, the heat's miserable!]

I don't suppose there's a time limit on how long maintenance will be working on this, hm?

[Have an exasperated sigh, but then its back to business.]

We seem to be having a heat-wave.

[ The words are spoken rather flatly, but there seems to be a sharpness to his gaze that speaks volumes. In his dimly lit quarters, they appear positively smouldering. ]

Among other things, of course.

[Sephiroth rubs his forehead, then stares directly at the screen, a bit quirked by Genesis' tone.]

...something wrong, Genesis?

[ He tilts his head, glancing away. Despite his dark mood, there's the faintest trace of a smirk. It would be so easy to sneer in response but he refrains from doing so. He already feels on edge, why make matters worse? ]

... Not especially.
