Max still wasn't entirely sure about this, but... he was there anyway. Besides, what was the worst that could happen?

Actually, this was Fandom, forget that. Still, it promised to be interesting, at the least. And hopefully it would ease some of the lingering tension he still felt around Aphrodite.

Or make it worse. Time would tell.

He was there, which 'Dite chose to interpret as a good thing.

"You're here." Stating the obvious, the best way to put off real conversation.

She glanced at what he was wearing. "Are you sure you'll be comfortable in that?" 'Dite herself was wearing a faded t-shirt and a pair of cut-offs that weren't nearly as cut off as she usually wore, but she did have a dark sweater thrown over her shoulders. "It's still light and warm in California, but it'll get cool later in the dark."

"I'll probably manage," Max allowed, glancing down at himself. He was dressed a bit more formally than he usually was, but that just meant a darker colored button-down shirt and non-jean pants.

"I'm pretty tough you know."

"I just want you to be comfortable, Max." Besides, he looked good in dark colors, and it gave her a reasonable excuse to look him up and down.

She folded her arms and looked at him seriously. "Now. Max. We're going somewhere where there'll be a lot of kids. Lots of them. All ages. Little kids. Little little kids. And parents. Who sometimes don't watch over their kids, but that's for a rant, not a tag. Anyway. I just want to make sure you were aware of that. If you don't want to deal with them, we can just get dinner first and then wait for fireworks."

Though she really hoped he could deal. One Max glare would keep the teenagers away, and besides, she thought he'd enjoy Astro-Blasters.

Max raised an eyebrow, most definitely intrigued. "Kids." Max didn't usually do kids.

But... it was just this one time.
