Oh, I'm not sure it was in the past 15 months, but I donated for the livelongandmarry auction, and I got a Doctor Who scarf in a very timely manner. I understand why people would be upset if it was late and they had no communication from the person. It's an incentive to make a donation. PBS does something similar to raise money. You donate x, I'll send you y. It's a bit mercenary, yeah, but it's the way people work. I might have still donated with out receiving the scarf, but it was an incentive to pay more. so. yeah.

LLM was last summer, so it would be in the last 15 months!

o snap, I hadn't even thought about it that way. Thanks!

I was journal hopping and saw this. I did not know that cats had their equivalent of aids. The more you know I suppose :)

And with the poll, I always get uncomfortable when money is exchanged with fanfiction. I know its for a good cause it just that fanfiction already gets so much flak I feel like that it would give people even more opportunity to criticize even if it for a good cause.

I didn't know until I learned it about the cat I met!

It makes me vaguely uncomfortable too, but to each her own. I just object when people refer to "selling" their fanworks at auction.

(The words in your icon are delightful, by the way -- where are they from?)

(The words in her icon are from 1st season of the new Doctor Who! Sorry for jumping in but those are like my favourite episodes on TV ever so I got excited lol. I think you will enjoy them as well. ^^)

I have a feeling that it would be all over the internet if there was even a hint of it being able to spread to humans - plus, it probably would have happened by now, considering how easy it is for a human to be scratched. I'd say that the friend doesn't know what she's talking about unless she can produce proof.

Yeah, I kind of feel that way too, but the internet can be woefully behind on bleeding-edge research in a field, so I thought I'd ask. (A scratch isn't enough to pass on FIV even between cats, btw -- it has to be a really deep bite.)

0001: I think this really says all it can say about the subject.

Yeah, I came across that article too! But it's dated 2006, and things may have changed since then -- you never know! But the internet refuses to provide anything to contradict it.
