Oh, I think it is definitely used as a tool. There are a lot of things that make me uneasy about Jewish culture (outside of the religion), the biggest being the fact that it's largely based on victimization and privilege as a result of that victimizationUm, whoa ( ... )

Wanting to keep your religion and tradition alive, especially after it was threatened so many times throughout history (the Holocaust was the worst, but not the only event), isn't racist or a Jewish conspiracy. It's a natural survival instinct.

And FYI -
Muslims hadn't been through the Holocaust or any other genocide, and still they only marry other Muslims. Same goes for other races/tribes/etc'.

And yes, I'm Jewish, if it matters. And as someone else wrote, I too know many Jews who don't mind marry people of other religions.

My very religious family will not invite my intermarried great-uncle's non-Jewish wife to family events. He's invited, but she is not, because they do not support intermarriage ( ... )
