Talked to my rheumy earlier today. Told him about getting my loan forgiveness denied. He started ranting. I explained to him what they wanted him to do and he said, "Let me guess: They want a Functional Capacity Evaluation. I don't do those, only physical therapists do. You live in the States, right?

I got the provincial share of my student loan forgiven on the basis of having a disability. My doctor filled out the form, then her assistant told me, "The doctor usually charges X dollars for filling out forms." I told her I didn't have that much money. She asked me how much money I had on me. I looked in my purse and said, "About 50 cents, at the moment." So the assistant said, "Oh, well, never mind." And I didn't have to pay for it.
