That definitely sounds like an interesting discussion! And I agree with you - everybody has a right to write what appeals to them. 99% of people who write incest or smut involving minors don't actually support those acts in real life, but are exploring characters who appeal to them in ways that aren't hurting anyone. People who don't like that can steer clear and find something else - and ultimately, we always do. The beauty of fandom is its diversity. Whatever character you like or couple (or OT3...4...5...XP) you support there will be at least a couple of other people out there who like it too. It's a great way of making friends in that sense.
