Hates roses.
Hates bricks.
Hates backgrounds that only need to be hinted at.
Hates being too tired to work on roses and bricks.
Hates she has no idea what else to do with the pic.
Hates perspective and things that need rulers.

I do actually LIKE the pic. I just HATE that I'm not finished with it. Ugh. My poor commissioner... :<

I think the roses and the stone are looking perfect! There are only two things I can even think to suggest for this thing:
1. Double up on the lines for the fence in the background. Either have thinner second lines at one side to hint at depth, or put two thin lines on the outsides of all of them.
2. Fog! Misty fog out in the backgroundscape, with maybe some stars in the "sky" to break up that colour.

So fabulous looking, though!

I recommend making the roses brighter since they are in the foreground. Adding some bright reds to them might be interesting--I think the main problem is just that they are the focus of our attention, but they don't have enough range from dark to light.
