If we can't afford to give money, volunteering is the next best thing. It doesn't have to be at a Planned Parenthood; if you have a local women's center that provides the same services, see what you can do for them.
A lot of places may need help with filing, scheduling appointments, and general administrative things. Some places need IT help, so if you have computer skills see if you can be of service.
Planned Parenthood often looks for escorts for their clinics and volunteers for the fundraisers and other events that they hold.
Word of mouth advertisement. If you've got pro-choice friends/acquaintances/co-workers or whoever looking for somewhere to do volunteer work, let them know about Planned Parenthoods and family planning clinics in your area.
I second the idea about escorting and counter-protesting. Anti-choicers are very loud about when they plan on showing up. They recently picketed a library in Batavia, IL, for instance, pushing an anti-abortion agenda when in reality the hearing was on sex ed.
Lots of these commmunities and patients are feeling bullied by these people and it would be nice to have more counter-protests than you see now.
The PP in my area is already on it's way out. The state changed some funding laws and broke their backs regardless of donations. (Basically denied them the right to cut deals for cheaper birth control for people). I'm most miffed. I've got the article if anyone would like me to post it here.
