So same sex couples can't get married. What's the big deal. They can have cute little commitment ceremonies and live together and buy houses together and raise kids together and call each other spouse and have joint checking accounts and even have domestic partner health insurance benefits and certain places of business. Too many of that large chunk would say she's dead from teh gay.

The rest, including the decent folk in the category, would just look at you with their mouths open. "Uh."

Strangely, I think I may still be in outrage fatigue from 2004, as The Onion put it. I can't think of anything to say to this that I and others haven't already said more times than we can count to too many stories like this than should have ever been allowed to happen.

I did see a church sign on the way home advertising a coming GLBT sermon that I'm considering attending, just out of curiosity.

That's disgusting. That makes me cry. I can't imagine how I'd feel if it happened to me.

Ugh, I can't either. I don't even want to think about it. But I have to check myself, because I know I need to remember that not everyone has the luxury of not having to think about it.

I hope we shift to the left and things start getting back out of the stone age.
