Izumi watched the children run out the door and into the yard to play from behind her coffee mug. She'd brought Julian over and Winry had brought Madeline and Nicolas to see Olivia, now that she was no longer going to school with the rest of them

Winry smiled softly and nodded. "For the most part, yes. I don't think things will ever be the same between Rosaline and I, but at least she isn't screaming at me."

"Well, she's thirteen now. I'm sure she'll grow out of it," Izumi said calmly.

"I hope so. I try not to think about it too much, though." Winry replied, and then looked over at Izumi. "What about at your house? Are things normal?"

Izumi nodded. "Things are going well. I'm not looking forward to sending Julian off to school, though."

"Yeah. It's sort of weird, really. Most of our old... well, friends, I guess, would never believe it." Roxas said, watching Olivia chase after Nicolas, trying to tag him.

"I'm surprised he's taken that mechanic job," Izumi said, "I thought Alphonse made more than enough money for the four of you."

"He does, but Axel is a very proud person. Al making all the money doesn't sit well with him." Roxas said, and smiled softly to himself. He had a feeling half the reason Axel liked working was because he got to come home to them every night.

"He still dragging you two off to bed at inopportune times?," Izumi asked, sipping at her coffee.

"I guess boys will be boys," Winry said, and smiled sweetly at Roxas. "You must have your hands full with two."

"I, um... Sometimes, but it's gotten easier as time passed. There's less competition now. More sharing." Roxas said awkwardly, studying his shoes.

Izumi looked at Roxas curiously. "How does that work? Do you switch off or something?"

"U-uh... Well, sometimes. Sometimes things just fall together, or we decide before starting, or we just go with- er, what we like best," Roxas said, his cheeks burning as he spoke.

"I remember when we were all sharing that room at Hogwarts, you were the one on top with Al." Winry said, nodding as she remembered. "And the time Al's yelling woke Rosaline up late at night, when she was still a baby."

"So, it's all three of you at once, then?," Izumi asked.

"We've started to change it up a little lately, though," Winry said, smiling impishly. "Last time, I dressed up."

Roxas blushed heavily and hoped that there wouldn't be a reason for him to mention the things Axel had gotten them to do in the past few weeks.

"Dressed up?," Izumi asked, "That sounds rather counterintuitive to me."

"Ed liked it," Winry said, her smile widening.

"It's not that counterintuitive," Roxas said absently. "It can make things more exciting."

"Exactly," Winry said, smiling at Roxas gratefully.

Izumi tapped her lower lip, lost in thought for a moment. "How so?," she asked.

"Oh?" Winry asked, raising her eyebrow.

[flamel_hawk]

"All it takes is if I'm wearing a dress he likes- or, especially, if I wear my hair down."

[deadlywrenches]

Winry smiled softly at that. "That's kind of cute."

"I don't even want to think of how easy it would be if I actually dressed up for him," she pondered aloud.
