There are hills that Derek's willing to die on. Unfortunately, some of those hills happen to be restaurant owners who don't particularly like his presence & call the cops when Derek refuses to leave. Same hills that have stolen things from Derek and Laura's old apartment though, so he's totally justified.
Stiles just wishes that Derek would wait until he LEGALLY recovers said stolen items. Then again, despite the early wake up call, he gets free coffee out of it. And Derek's company. So... not all that bad, in the end ;)
