They ate sugary concoctions enough for at least a hundred years causing his otherwise unusually reasonable nephews and nieces demand the same treatment. They made him crazy and his wallet almost empty. He had to drag them through a horde of impressive beer bellies, baskets with firm edges and aggressive elbows just to play some laughable games for even more comical prizes.

Your imagery is wonderful. ( And now I can't get the song of your tittle out of my mind :)

Not to mention the people's shouting, burping, laughing, chewing

OMG sometimes the sound of someone chewing grates on my nerves something fierce, and I love that you added it in your piece.

Mmm, chewing can be really annoying. I have days when basically every little sound makes me crawl out of my skin but I guess that's just me liking my privacy a bit too much.
