Your style is intriguing and unafraid to take risks. I would think that any artist would happily want to work with you since your stories are also visually appealing even during the rough times. If BBB is calling to you then it might be worth the leap. September isn't that far away....
So, why, instead of cracking on with those two stories, am I now contemplating writing a 20,000 word fic by the beginning of July?
Probably for the same reason that I signed up despite the two chaptered fics I'm currently writing, a third chaptered fic that is begging me to write it, the hp_porninthesun fest I signed up for, and having only two months to go until giving birth. I'm beginning to think that I'm truly insane.
And I'm going to vote for the BBB. :D I love your 'out there' plots! I'm sure the mods don't care about that, as long as it's Sirius-centric. And I don't mind waiting until September to read it - I'm sure it would be worth it!
Definitely Sirius-centric - all from Sirius's POV in fact because it is one of those plots that simply won't work if another POV sneaks in. So, not a problem there.
I didn't realise that you had quite that much on the go - or that the baby was due so soon.
Well, you know my opinion here... do it! do it! :D
I know I'm not allowed to divulge what other writers plan to write (it wouldn't be fair and I don't want crazy angry writers coming after me) but believe me, some plots are pretty 'out there' (which is why I'm having plot doubts at the moment - mine seems so conventional by comparison) - you'll fit right in!
That makes me a little less hesitant to put it in for the BBB fest.
As for the plot, well, I've turned Hogwarts into a prison, paired Lily up with Oliver Wood, and turned Remus into a selfish manipulative little git who everyone wants to kick. I guess by my standards the plot I have in mind is actually quite conventional. LOL
I am sure your own plot is great. It seems to me that the conventional stories are the ones that are the most popular anyway, and conventional is needed in any fest or no one would read the stories there at all.
It also depends on how many comments you want to get as well. I love 100quills to death, but nearly nobody comments. There is very little feedback and you may want that. Also, you don't seem to need prompts. You are really awesome in doing stories that are already in your head. So I say go for BBB. :)
I am already doing the 100 Quills challenge, and comments haven't been too bad for me since I post the stories here with a link from the comm to my journal. My regular readers are kind enough to comment so I don't think any of them are derelict in that department.
I signed up for the 100 Quills not because I can't think of plots, but because I wanted to practice writing from prompts generally so that I was less hesitant to join in prompt based challenges in other communities. So far it has worked quite well and I have been participating in the RS500 comm and joined in the RS Small Gifts exchange last year.
I have no idea what sort of comments will be got at BBB, so can't say that it is really anything I have thought of as an issue.
It is the idea of artwork with the fic that is actually swaying me the most. ;-)

Just make sure you don't wear yourself out.
