LUKE ON ION'S ARRIVAL

SPOILERS

Well, really. he's really happy =D Uh. For various reasons, Luke never really dwelled on the possibility of Ion coming to camp. He TOTALLY REALIZED IT WAS POSSIBLE and obviously wanted it to happen, but Ion's death was far more concrete to him than Asch's. Because he can 'feel' Asch, because Asch was dead really only minutes before Luke was, and Ion was dead for potentially weeks AND Ion saw it. Additionally, while Luke LOVES Asch, he LIKES Ion... while Asch is sort of a dick! In various ways he we both more attached to Asch but cared more for Ion. Ion's sacrifice hurt, but it was ally very final for Luke. And now he's back =D

Anyway he's basically really happy, because he's Luke. AND BECAUSE HE'S LUKE he's not really worried about any potentially bad outcomes. He doesn't see this as "I can spend more time with Ion until we part again" (the way tear seems to) but "Ion's alive =DDDDD".

WHICH BRINGS AROUND THE BIT ASSOCIATION THING. Van's idea was that in order to save HUMANITY he has to kill every human on the planet. Which. Sounds a lot like Mukuro's idea to 'clean the world' by 'killing people' even when he doesn't seem to really hate people in GENERAL just the state of the world. It also comes down to roughly the same argument Luke had with Van. Luke believes humanity can make it's own choices, can CHANGE itself for the better, and Van didn't. Van didn't believe this because he felt the score forced people to walk a certain path, and Mukuro seems to believe this just because. I don't know. Humanity inately sucks? But. The whole concept hits really close to home ( ... )

Someday I will play this game and feel all gooey on the inside for Master Van. This is really what all the signs are saying. LE SIGH.

I feel like I'm kicking a puppy in the face. Poor Luke. Really I don't have any more questions but I feel the need to reply
