I think I'm officially Canadian. Today, I ordered a side of gravy with my fries.

What? You don't have gravy on fries in America? no way. that's crazy. OH! I thought of another one...next time, ask for vinegar on your fries. It's really good. And in America they don't give vinegar for fries. Which is weird.

Nope, we don't do the gravy-on-fries thing down in the US. It's sad, because gravy on fries is really fucking good.

We don't do gravy on fries, but there are lots of places where you can get vinegar for fries. The gravy/fries combo is amazing, as I learned in St. John's, but the vinegar makes me want to puke. So gross.

I ordered vinegar with my fries today, in Waltham (hi, Frank!) and the restaurant only had malt vinegar. I had forgotten that malt vinegar on fries = teh nasty. But I always dip my fries in the gravy when I order an open-faced hot turkey sandwich that comes with fries.
