So on good advice from sagefemme11 I've decided to "tone down" my traffic utterances

Over the decades I have come to understand that I have a somewhat atypical life. Since I started work as an adult, I have rarely had to commute to work. There was one 4-month period where I had to take a bus (no transfers). And another 3 year period where I drove to work, took a bus, or took a cab. And during those 3 years I never traveled during rush hour.

I agree that your life has been/is atypical.
I'm dealing with traffic more now because we are sharing a car and Bob has to be in at 10am. I don't have to be in till noon. Which I WAY prefer.

I've chosen to live in the country, I have to commute if I want to work in my field. I don't mind.

There have been other times where my commute was 5 minutes or 20 minutes. This is my longest. It's really such a pretty drive that it's a nice time to relax, think and process.

Swampy is a trip indeed. I like him though. :)
