-Rin's POV
It's a calm week before the war, well; we called it that way because next week we'll have our final exam. A week full of stress everywhere. All schools are having their final exams at once, and this has made all students in this entire country freak out. Many students study hard for it, whether it's in groups or individually. I prefer to study individually off course; I can concentrate well by it. Since I arrived at school this morning, I've sensed a dilemma smell, a stress aura, and a 'don't disturb me' faces all around, so I managed to keep distance with everyone. They could be fierce in this kind of time. I, myself, don't feel so depressed like them; I feel I've prepared enough for this exam. A little but not too hard study would be just fine for me.
"Rin... Wait up!" A well known voice called me from behind. I turn around and it's Ryu, so I wait for him. He runs a little towards me. His face looks fresh and happy, unlike few days before when we had a little tension.
"Have you prepared for the exams?" He asked. We stop a moment by the library's entrance.
"A little..." I answered.
"You always said that, but I know you've studied a lot!!"
"Well, I always study everyday, right?"
"What are you going to do now?"
"Ehm, I want to read some reference books, what about you?"
"I want to accompany you reading some reference books then. May I?" He smiled. What a gorgeous smile, who could say no??
"If you'd like to... Let's go then!"
We walk together to the library and find a seat by the window. It's my favourite spot, actually. From here I can see the view outside. I grab some books from the shelves and go back to my seat. Ryu is sitting beside me, doing his own study.
I start opening those books and taking some notes on my file binder. It's so great studying like this, accompanied by him.
A few minutes passed, I'm still reading, but from my eye's corner I see that he has finished his studying. His right hand is hanging below and trying to take my left hand. I can feel it because his fingers are tipping my hand.
"Ryu.. I'm concentrating here!" I protested him.
"I'm also concentrating here!!" He said.
"I'm reading.. Don't disturb me, please."
"I'm reading too.. Don't disturb me too."
I can't help myself looking at him. He's trying to make a serious face but it's a totally failure. Instead, he looks amusing.
I laugh because of it, and so does he.
I go back to my book and put my hand on the table. But he keeps tipping me and tries to get my hand.
"Ryuu... Stop it. I can't read well."
"Rin... Stop it. I also can't read well."
"If you don't stop it, I'll go."
"If you don't stop it, we'll go."
I laugh again because he put his 'serious look' again.
"What are you concentrating?? You don't even read or do anything."
"I'm concentrating in taking and reading your hand, can't you see?? So stop avoiding and just give it to me!!"
"Hahahahahahahaa..." I can't hold my laugh anymore.
"Sssssshhh!!" Several students around us are hissing at me.
"See... If you don't stop, they'll kick us away!" He said in a serious tone as his face managed otherwise.
"Hhahahaahahaa..." I keep my laugh in a very low voice this time.
He takes my hand and holds it in his.
I start reading again.
Ryu's hand is warm, unlike the weather outside. He's holding my hand below the table so everyone can't see. He opens his grip and runs his index finger on my palm. He writes something there. I can't read anymore, he just blurred my concentration away.
"What's that?" I asked.
"Feel it and guess."
He writes again and I try to guess.
"I'm happy." I said.
"Correct! What about this?" He starts writing again.
"Today is great."
"Good job! Now this.." He continues.
"I'm sitting."
"Well done! Next.."
"Beside the girl that I love."
"True!! You're good. Now what?"
"And not just it."
"Right! Here's the closing..."
"She loves me too."
"Excellent!! Now join them all."
I think a while, refreshing my memory up.
"I'm happy. Today is great. I'm sitting beside the girl that i love. And not just it. She loves me too!!" I answered him.
"Perfect!! You just read my mind!!"
Hahahahahahhahahaa we laugh for the so many times. I hold his hand tighter this time, don't wanna let it go.
Dear diary, today isn't just fine, it's PERFECT!!
