015 [AUDIO]

I feel like I'm one of the only people that'd rather be here than home. I mean, this is ... better, I guess. Weird as heck, but the boat is safer, believe it or not.

... what makes you all miss home so much? Was it really that nice for you? I wanna hear.

[What the heck. Granny was one thing, but this sounds like a young girl. Who has some kind of bad home life? Ani must investigate!]

Excuse my replying to you, since I have only recently arrived, but you sound... very young. What is your name?

As for the other passengers missing home, I would think that essentially being kidnapped is something most would find unsettling, even if they were not in a good situation beforehand. I personally feel neutral on the subject so far; this is neither better nor worse than my previous situation.

...What makes your home dangerous, that this vessel is safer?

[Wow, this newbie talks a lot. ...But she seems really nice, if a little formal, so that's okay.]

My name's Shilo. And I am kind of young, if seventeen is young to you.

Home was just ... [sigh] ... dangerous for everyone.

[As kind as this stranger is, she really doesn't want to start on all the dangers of Sanitarium Isle just yet.]

[Speech is just as important to an assassin as weapons are.]

Seventeen? It is young enough. [She sounded a little younger to Ani, to be honest, and since she can't see Shilo she's not sure if Shilo's even telling the truth.] My name is Ani. Ani Kerrigan.

[And she can hear that tone in your voice, so she's going to be polite.] I will have to take your word for that. You don't sound keen on talking about it.

May I ask a favor, Shilo? Could you tell me about this ship, and its destination?

Nice to meet you, Ani.

[When Ani asks about the boat and where it's going, Shilo seems to launch into a faster pattern of speech, as if she's told many people this and heard it herself many times before.]

Well, um, this is the M.S. Elegante and we're heading to the Golden Shore. It's a pretty long trip, I guess, considering I've been here for months. I don't know where the Shore is but it's supposed to be nice ... and we ... can't go home, no matter what, because ... home is gone. Everyone's homes. So even the people that miss it are kind of out of luck.

[This is a very interesting question. Zelda is torn on things like this and the idea that she's thought about it more recently makes her feel a little awkward--especially as someone else has mentioned it.]

...I would say I miss my people. I would also say I miss people who are like family to me. However, I cannot deny that there is a freedom here I am allowed to experience that I would never be privileged to have at home.

Surely there are others like you who prefer to be here more than they would prefer to be at their origins.

Your people? Were you, um ... a ruler?

[Shilo's in such a curious mood today. Forgive her if she asks too many questions.]

[Zelda is anything but offended by Shilo's inquisitive nature.]

That is correct. How very astute of you, Miss.

My name is Zelda. I am the princess of Hyrule, which would be my kingdom. It is only natural that a leader should miss his or her people.

...A princess? Woah.

[Shilo was a big lover of fairytales as she grew up, and despite how strange the boat is and how varied its inhabitants are, she never thought she'd get to meet a princess.]

What was Hyrule like?

I like it much better here, as well. Even if things do get a little... 'hectic' from time to time.

I can't say home was normal for me, exactly. But I had friends. I mean you people are fine, don't get me wrong.

I had a job and family, I had a bunch of nice things. Good people. Good food. I mean, I guess money doesn't matter too much here. And the food's really not that bad at all. But there's my cousin, my... well I care about a lot of people. And worry, too.

It's all in the eye of the beholder, and I guess it's sort of good if you can find benefit and joy and such in being here.

The thing is, I didn't leave a lot behind when I came here. So I guess that's why I don't feel the same kind of homesickness half of you all do. Everything good that I have, I've gotten here.

Who knows? Maybe some of your friends or family will show up here sometime.

Ah, well... I can understand where you're going with that. Life is a little different for everyone and the chances you get, well, it's good you're making the best of all of this.

[She pauses, smirking towards the comm. for only her benefit.]

I knew a lot of people. It'd get mighty cramped if more showed up. Still, it'd be really nice to see my cousin, or a few... some friends. I guess this is the downside of knowing a good number of people.
