I'm currently listening to an amazing concert on the BBC. It's a fussion sextet of oud/voice, tablas, and string quartet. Pretty sweet stuff. He has an amazing vocal range, which is apparently helped along by him pinching his nose to hit some of the high notes... The weekend before the day marking the birth of Siddartha Gautama, there is a huge festival held in Seoul called the Lotus Lantern Festival. It was by fair the largest festival I've ever experienced, as well as the most joyous. I'm back in Prof Feurzeig's good graces! I did horribly on my first cd report cuz I wasn't really aware of what I was supposed to do. So, since no one else wanted to do a cd report on Eastern Europe, she let me do one for extra credit. The cd was amazing!
