birth name is valerie poxleitner. has an older sister named jess (song "jess and jonny" was a wedding present to her sister and her husband). legally changed her name to lights

possibly the most adorable thing in the universe. basically a one person band with lights (valarie something) playing keytar (and sometimes guitar) but she's backed up by a guy on keyboard called adam and a guy on drums maurie.

she's from toronto, has a boyfriend called rob and a pet taranchula called lance. she's got a really weird tattoo on her back that looks a lot like she designed it herself because she draws, and it looks a lot like her art style. she plays wow a lot and does videoblogs of her character (as well as of her spider, her songs, her general music/life) and is generally an adorable geek.
