I think that I may be sick, and it sucks. My head hurts, I feel groggy, my throat is so effing scratchy it hurts to talk and I had the sickest dreams last night. Or this morning, because after falling asleep for two hours, because I kept moving and turning because I was so cold then hot, I woke up at eight because I had set an alarm to go off then

You're plenty mature, Madison. You just fit in like the rest of us, where we all act stupid and dumb around each other but then we go home and realize our problems. It's the natural order of things, my friend.

Ah, yes.

I've had so many talks with my mom that leave her voice shaking. Which makes me upset. Which makes her upset. Etc etc. There's no winning, is there? Guess that happens when we finally reach the age where we can talk to them about something actually important, and not "Where's the cookie jar?" We really can't help it though, I've come to realize. There's an extremely slim chance of us being able to discuss something without anger or sadness, unfortunately. There'll come a time though, I'm hoping.

As for the sick, I found it helped to sit in bed with the window open and a bowl of soup in front of me. Oddly. Cause I was hot and cold at the same time? I dunno. Either way, it was awesome. Oh! And eat/drink something spicy. AMAZING CURE. Sinus stuffed? Pff, you won't have anything in there at all after a bite of a jalapeno.
