I recently had the longest, most frustrating journey to America I have ever taken and during the 12 ½ hrs we spent on the plane I thought I would make the most of my time and actually write something. However what actually happened is I would start writing something and then get stuck with where I was going to take it. And while I am going to write

I've become rather apathetic towards this season as a whole. I mean, we could sit around all day talking about what went wrong when, who got voted off too soon, etc, but with me, it was simply that my two favorite girls excluding Crystal (Katelyn and Didi,) met the chopping block early, and the one guy I became invested in never really met his potential.
I know Lee's got it in him somewhere. I am so certain I can almost reach out and touch it. But for whatever reason, he just. hasn't. quite. done it. And at this point, I don't think he's going to manage it, and it's so freakin' frustrating...
Even so, I was a teeny bit sad to see Mike go (even though he was technically voted off five weeks ago,) since he was more consistent than Lee and Casey; and as nice as he seems, if Casey wins this season, I will cry. Or maybe scream. Scream and cry. I dunno.

The less I say on the whole Pat Monahan situation, the better; I don't trust myself to coherently convey my feelings on the subject, mixed as they are.

If Casey wins this season I think a lot of people will cry. I can't really see him getting through this week though, or maybe that's just wishful thinking. I can't get on the Lee train either but I do think he perhapsdeserves to be in th inal more than Casey does.

As for 'The Truth'...it's my favourite song on the album and no matter the reason for it I just don't like the single version. Kris's version was just so good it's just disheartening.

I am praying that people will drop their the-producers-back-this-person-so-we-must-rebel / he's-so-pretty-let's-keep-him-on-screen glasses long enough to see that, based on tonight (and, well, his consistency issues over the past season,) Casey really, really doesn't deserve to be in the finale.
And it figures that the moment I give up on Lee, he completely floors me. Just figures. (Of course, it could be that, since I was expecting a train wreck, it was astounding by comparison? Maybe I need to rewatch, see if it's as good the second time.) But as much as I adore his teary-eyed, rambly self, I...still don't think he deserves the title quite as much as Crystal? He definitely deserves it more than Casey, imho. I just wouldn't be sobbing tears of rage if he did.

This. And it kind of hurts my heart that they didn't trust him enough to keep the momentum Live Like We're Dying built up going, and decided to just slap this arrangement on it.

Sorry you're not enjoying this season as much, but I'm glad to see you writing about "Idol" again. I always like your insights.
