So let me just move from sitting the room where my housemate is watching Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing (which I am not following this year on no, and I refused to be sucked back in). Although I will marvel over the wonder that is Brian Fortuna’s salsa routine.

was really surprised to see this, because one of the reasons I liked Allison from the beginning was how awkward she was in interviews and in talking to the judges. "It's not like I'm cutting myself" = one of my favorite moments on Idol.

Oh I totally agree that on AI that was one of her charms. However, I think in the real world that's going to go against her. AI is completely out of the real world as far as how these kids have to present themselves, in AI the audience wants 'real' and 'normal' and 'down to earth' as opposed to stage school. But in the real world, with the real press who are not trying to make you look good but rather trying to get a scope or an interesting sound bite Allison's lack of coherancy could eaily become a problem.

I find it really interesting because I posted the links for these little musings on the americaidol lj and the few replies I got there said that they all thought, more than anyone this year, including Kris and Adam, Allison stood the chance of a proper career.

I can't seem to get through a comment without mentioning Kris in some way, so I will stop resisting temptation and just go with my inclination.Never resist the urge!! :-D. Just go with it it'll make things a lot easier in the long run
