Rain? seriously? right now? Yeah thats a total bummer. But on the other hand, its February, so I guess its acceptable.
and on the feminism thing, now that I'm taking this language and gender class (albeit we've only had three classes so far) I've been thinking about these things a lot too lately. Its easy to fall into the regular beat of conversation and not realize how much everyone (including myself) makes use of that sort of language. I'm not saying that its inherently bad of us or anything, but kind of like you said, its just... I don't know, odd that it's so sub-concious. Being fully aware if it is really eye opening. I'm really enjoying the class, though, because its just really interesting things to think about and observe.
