One of the nicer things about living here is that the weather, while never usually life-threatening, is continually changing, giving everyone a fool-proof and always interesting topic of conversation.

So, at the moment it is very cold (i.e. below freezing; cue hollow laughter from readers in places where it gets really cold) and we have snow ( Read more... )

I love my car seat heater in the winter too. Sometimes when we've over done it, we blasts the air conditioner and put the seat heater on.

It had better NOT snow a lot when I visit in 10 days nor in January when we pass through the UK again. Remember when I got caught in the Great Snow of Feb, 2009?
:P
Your idea of hot watter bottle covers is a good one. I so admire your crafty abilities!

A light sprinkling of snow is nicely seasonal, but too much is just a nuisance! I suspect this cold snap will only last a week or so, and then we'll get more snow after Christmas.

Incidentally, I've just sent you an Advent Calendar download, from the people who do the e-cards, but I forgot to change your email address on their list, so it has gone to your old yahoo address. Also, while I think of it, would you be interested in going to this?

I'll check the old account shortly.

Do you mean the Kensington Palace Enchanted visit?
That sounds lovely!
That would be for Friday, Dec. 10, but earlyish as I have a concert to attend at 8 PM at St. Martins.
Do we need tickets ahead of time, do you think?

Oooohhhh...this makes me all excited!
