Looks like I posted too soon about the bruises, as I woke this morning to have two partial black eyes, with red bruises on the inside of each eye, as if I have been weeping blood. It looks awful, like one of those pictures of battered pensioners the Daily Mail or Evening Standard post sometimes to frighten their readers. Far too horrible to post

Oh dear. I guess it does take a while for some bruises to come out. That means you're healing, though. Post a picture anyway!

Hurray for healing? I hope the bruises don't hurt much, at least. Rest well!

Oh dear, I'm sorry. Bruises can sometimes take a while to come out. I should think wearing a burka out would be quite an interesting experience. I wonder if you would find people treat you differently? Hope the bruises go soon and you can get back to normal.
