That wonderful first rose looks almost like a peony!

Also, week-ends in Paris mean you can visit the natives, hint hint nudge nudge!

Weekends in Paris!
*envy*
Are they moving there permanently?

I love small gardens that are stuffed with pretty blooms like that first rose. Cistus looks like fragile tissue paper, rather poppy-like in a way.
Lovely!

As far as I know, they are only moving there for a year or so, but who knows what might turn up?

I love those old-fashioned roses, especially since they are so very fragrant. The cistus was a really pretty one - its another of those things that should grow well in pots but doesn't for me.

What a gorgeous rose. I've heard of moss roses before, but never seen a photo. It's so lovely, and the name makes me laugh.

It sounds like a wonderful weekend, and that you're going to have some fantastic weekends ahead of you soon...in Paris! :)

Not only a very pretty flower, but very, very fragrant indeed. If I had a garden, rather than a series of pots on a terrace, I'd definitely grow these.
