Again, I've rather frittered away my free time this weekend, despite it's having been such a very long one. On Thursday, I had a lie-in and pottered about the clothes shops of Crouch End with friends. I must just insert a plug here for Baby Ceylon which sells gorgeous classic dresses in fine crepe, similar to Ghost, but with a more interesting ( Read more... )

Ooohhh...I just spent a lovely 15 minutes browsing the shop's website. What nice dresses! I'm afraid though that I am lacking in the bust department and would not fill out those nice low necklines although I suppose there are bras that might help that along these days. Is their only shop in Crouch End?

The US election is having more echo around than the world than I can recall in any other election. I can't wait to finally get rid of this administration. I do think Obama has the best chance of winning but may the gods and goddesses help him as he's inheriting a fine mess.

Lovely , aren't they? I think the colours are a bit stronger in real life, too. They are mostly in a lovely heavy fine rayon crepe that drapes beautifully. They are rather like Ghost, who used the same sort of fabric originally, although they have greatly enlarged their range recently and gone off a bit, I think.

My sympathies are with Obama if he does win, but then they are with the rest of the planet if he doesn't. My fingers are very firmly crossed!
