Spending all day yesterday seems to have loosened up the joints a bit, and today I was bendy enough to finish putting up the trellis that I bought weeks ago at IKEA. It's been too wet for me to drill the holes for it before this, but now it's all in place. Tomorrow, I'll put out the climbing-type plants and maybe even the little picnic table ( Read more... )

I love that kind of peach. I haven't seen them in Spain yet and rarely her in the US but I tried them once and they were lovely.

Apparently the ones they sell over here come from Spain, but they might be one of those "export-only" crops, I suppose. They're perfect for children, I should think.

They came from Spain? I can see that they'd do well there as we have lovely "normal" peaches but I truly have never seen them in a Spanish market...maybe in Madrid where they have everything and where I rarely go.

I love doughnut peaches. There's an orchard in Austin that grows them, so we have them from spring through early summer.
