As predicted, four inches of snow (and counting) and the whole country is paralysed. Yesterday I noticed that the pavements had been pre-emptively gritted by Haringay and Tower Hamlets, but Islington (where I live) didn't bother. You got 4 inches and we only got 1? Are we that much further south than you (Morden)? Must be. We had the grit on the pavements here yesterday, but none today when it's needed.

I overestimated a bit, it was actually about 3 inches, but it was snowing quite heavily here since I woke up, and has only just stopped. I may be brave and venture out later.
