So I'm sitting here on the computer trying to draw a picture for Alli using Facebook Graffiti and the phone starts to ring. It only rings once each time and the person keeps calling back, so I started to suspect that my dad, for whatever reason, has blocked their number. Do you have any benadryl? If it's an allergic reaction, that's the best thing to give him. Here is a site that will tell you how much to give him. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_Benadryl_can_you_give_a_dog I use a pill and estimate how much to use for my cats. If his throat is so swolen he cannot swallow the pill put it in a straw, stick the straw as far down his throat as you can and blow hard.

Ugh, I'm so glad you told me that. We ended up giving him Claritin, which I think might be the same as benadryl.. at any rate, I was really nervous to give it to him because I wasn't really sure if I could, but it feels really good to hear it from another experienced rat owner. He seems to be doing better, so thank you so much.
