We went to see Skyfall this afternoon. I had ordered and paid tickets in advance through the magic of the internet, and we were assigned specific seats. And it was very busy, what with it being the last day of the vacation ( Read more... )

Weird how that ticket-reservation turned out. It should be very simple to have a system preventing double-booking.
Whenever I've reserved seats online and it was possible to select specific seats, I've never had this happen. Which cinema was this?

This was the JT Calypso in Nijmegen. I'll send them an e-mail to tell them about my dissapointment.

Yes, the IT system should be set up in such a way that double-booking can't happen. Now you're not getting what you paid for.

I'm curious how they will react. It is always interesting to see how companies use the best marketing strategy there is, ie making complaining customers happy.

Welke bioscoop was je? Ik koop via de Pathé website best vaak kaartjes online, en zoiets heb ik nog nooit meegemaakt!

Ik ken zelf niet zoveel oude Bond films, eigenlijk alleen die van de afgelopen 15 jaar denk ik. Ik vond dit de leukste die ik tot nu toe heb gezien! =)

Dit was de JT Calypso in Nijmegen, en kaartjes gekocht via belbios.nl.

Ha, maar die oude Bond films zijn ook zeer de moeite waard, hoor!

we enjoyed the movie as well. finally a chance for the actors to, well, act rather than going from action to action with not much more than some fighting and kissing and more fighting. and it is still very Bondish, very over the top at times :)).

I agree: there were 'quiet' moments (that is, moments without gunfire or explosions) when the actors could breathe some life into their characters.
