The shops are busting out the back-to-school stuff. I'm surprised my nearest CVS waited this long; these days the shops seems to do that on 05 July, shoving the patriotic stuff into clearance

We use something called "air conditioning" down here. :-) We have ceiling fans, too, but very rarely do I use a box fan. I used to have one in my dorm room, though, b/c my dorm didn't have air conditioning. Yeah, that was definitely poor planning...
Air conditioning! Pft. Weaklings. (Yes, I've been to Georgia. In June.) That uses far more electricity, and they weigh a bloody ton! Box fans are better than ceiling fans too, I think, for the same reason that desk lamps are better than ceiling lights - more localised, less energy because you're lighting a smaller space. More bang for your buck, so to speak.
I don't know if things like fans ever go on sale in Georgia, but if they don't, you should come north in the next few weeks. Around here the summer stuff - fans included - is all 25% off, and when it's 75% off I'll be buying a few! I got my space heater this past spring at 75% off so it cost me $12.50 instead of $50. Clearance sales are amazing.
Enjoy all that inexpensive shopping. Good to know about the CVS razorblades, I may need some more some time soon. The Mach 3 does rock my world though. I'm still deliberating on finding regular shaving gel or cream and aftershaving products- so far I like the Aqua Velva Ice Balm, but am considering trying something else too and switching off. Any suggestions?
A completely random memory that thinking about CVS brought to mind just now- there's a drug stor conveniently located to the campus of my alma mater college, and inevitably, nearly every time I went there, I would either be buying pads myself, or run into a female friend or acquaintance who was.
Thanks, good to know. The Ice Balm is the lotion without alcohol, I may try the real stuff at some point too. It probably smells stronger also I would suspect. Enjoy your fancy afterhsave. :) Got anything pre-shave or in the way of shave gel/cream that you recommend? (I've been using the edge stuff that my dad has, but am considering trying something else).
I know exactly how you feel. When I was in Paris, all I wanted to do was shop back-to-school sales at Carrefour. And now that I get to buy school supplies and things all over again, I'm excited. But the little boxes and organizational things are what really get me. I would have a little box for every sort of thing I've got in my dorm if I could.
*grin* I love you too, sweetie. And I definitely won't do it all without you, since I generally don't do any Hallowe'en shopping at all! :P You can help me make the jack o'lantern and draw eyes on the shutters and stuff though.
You buy sweets and things though, don't you? Does this mean going to Target and trying not to spend a fortune? Oo, I get to help with the pumpkin and the shutters? That's such a responsibility!
Yes, you're absolutely right! We'll have to buy sweets. I'll tell you all about my sweet-buying strategy when we go. We can do all that at CVS though; there's no need to torture ourselves at Target.

You don't need fans? What do you mean, you don't need fans? You live in Georgia! How can you not need fans? Especially shiny new fans?
Even people in deepest Canada need fans! Honestly, now.
