Hey. I hear you about the annoyance of having extra fluff around the ol' midsection. Groan. It's a fact for most people, though, trans or not, unless your genes and diet are impeccable.
On the upside, you have really good muscle size (beefy!!) so whittling off some extra bodyfat by upping your metabolism through exercise and proper eating will reveal even more awesomeness!!
Try not to despair, and also do your best to focus on things that you like about your physique (like those wicked arms and powerful pecs)! I would recommend taking weekly progress photos because I find it is hard to see changes when you're looking at yourself in the mirror each day.
Thanks for the ego boost! I used to lift a lot about a year or so ago. Not sure why I stopped. I had chest surgery and was finished school. Figured once I'd recovered I'd be all over that gym. But instead I got a job and the irregularity of my schedule made it difficult to hit the gym. Instead I do more bodyweight workouts. Pull ups, push ups. Kind of a goal of mine to "master" my bodyweight in a way. Miss using weight though sometimes.
I have my bad days and good days with my body. Hopefully as I progress the good ones will occur more then the bad.
