Does anyone know of any knowledgable endos in the Phoenix area?  On my first visit to my current one, he prescribed Depo Provera so my periods would stop, and said he would do some research on T dosages ( Read more... )

I brought a document called the Guidelines and protocols for comprehensive primary health care for trans clients (http://www.sherbourne.on.ca/PDFs/Trans-Protocols.pdf) to my doctor who said she had no prior experience with trans patients. Maybe there is one for your area, or in lieu of that, maybe this document could help?

I totally recommend the Nick Gordon guide that was already posted. Also 100mg/ml biweekly is a fine dose. It's not really about your dose but your blood work (T levels and others). See where you are after a month or two and adjust if needed.

She's not an endo, but I saw Carol Williams in Phoenix when I lived there. She prescribed my T as a general physician. I paid a little more than I'm used to paying (I'm uninsured and used to sliding scale clinics that charge virtually nothing for low-income patients), but she was very knowledgable and also insistent that I didn't need to see her super often -- which would save me money -- and they did accept cash payment for people who are uninsured, if that's an issue for you. Her receptionist wasn't super trans-friendly or knowledgeable at all, but don't let that throw you. Carol herself is great. She's at McDowell Health Center, 12th and McDowell.
