I NEED an STP. Recommendations please?

So I barely started going out in public as male. But that becomes a problem once I have to use the restroom. I go into the men’s and feel taunted by the urinals. I pass them and go straight to the stalls. I hate having to sit down to do my business. It makes me feel less of man. And I get paranoid thinking other guys there might figure me out ( Read more... )

For those who are 21+, I have found that cutting a circular "nip" or miniature bottle - the kind that go for like $1 each in a liquor store - into the shape of slanted funnel works really well. Just make sure to sand the edges. I bet a bead of silicone (or hot glue) around the perimeter would help cushion it in the long run.

I try to avoid queues that are long. I get nervous when there's a long queue and you are expected to either use a stall or urinal as they become free. That doesn't happen often so if I know it's likely I either go find another bathroom or plan round it- like if I go to a go, during intervals is busy so I wait until near enough the end of it before I go. If a queue is unavoidable I just wait and deal with feeling a bit awkward. If it's not busy but someone is in the stall I either come back later or wash my hands or something so I'm not just standing around

If anyone asks I'm pee shy but nobody ever has

If money isn't an issue, I recommend the Peecock as a handy pack-and-pee without awkward plastic funnels/tubes. More realistic than a standard STP at a casual glance, even though the colour isn't great. It's pretty reliable for me, but I'd get the medium rather than small because the small doesn't give enough reach unless you're standing right up against the loo - the only leakage problems I've had have been from not pointing it downwards enough at a public loo because I was trying not to have to stand so close, so worst case scenario lol ( ... )

To comment on the stalls thing.... I've been using men's rooms for 5-6 years and I have NEVER seen the stalls full. I don't go to nightclubs or bars etc so I'm talking about workplace and college public bathrooms but I can't imagine there's much difference unless you're somewhere with a tiny bathroom with only one stall. I don't think it would be odd at all to wait if they were full because, as others have said, there's no other possible way to take a number two. But it's not a scenario you should worry about, it doesn't happen all the time the way it does in women's rooms.
