Alright, so I tried to search through the tags under name change to see if I could find anything about name changes in the state of Missouri. I have no experience with this, but I can see how it would be hard to believe. In my state, it took 2.5 hours just to get a license plate for my new car. :-O
I'm glad others are saying that's how easy it should be. :-)
If you don't mind my asking, how much did your name change cost there?
Good luck,

1. 2 sets of prints to send to the CBI and one to the FBI for background checks.
2. Background checks were vague about my arrest, but since they show up we:
A. Sent letters to the state I was arrested in, county, and FBI to list my new name as an alias.
B. Submitted a second set of prints to obtain 2 more background checks, which now reflect the new name as an alias.
3. Submitted these papers to a judge with 3 possible scenarios:
A. Judge stamps the change approved.
B. Judge orders the change to be published in the paper 3 times then approves.
C. Judge orders a hearing.
The judge ordered a publication, which has been done, and now I am waiting on my paperwork to take to SS and the DMV.
Pretty damn easy, especially considering my arrest record.
Best of luck!
