You can expect to be treated with professionalism and understanding, for one thing ( ... )

I forgot to mention, during the last stage I had to read an informed-consent document about 10 pages long, in which you basically absolve him of any responsibility for doing the surgery should you decide your transition was a mistake. You sign it in front of him and one of his nurses. He didn't ask me to provide a therapist's letter at all.

Oh, I like that MUCH more than having to furnish a therapist's letter. Wish more transition-related medical care were given based on informed consent.

Yes, it was absolutely awesome not to have to pay my therapist to write a letter basically saying I was of sound mind when a 20-minute conversation with McLean convinced him that was true.

So far, the waiver seems to be working well for him. If anyone has regretted getting surgery, they seemingly haven't taken it out on him.

I recently had a consultation with dr. mclean this year. I met with a nurse first in a small room. They already knew that I was getting top surgery. I asked her several questions about the surgery, and she also gave me information about it as well. I met with mclean after that and was asked to take off my shirt so he could feel my chest and take a look at it. I put down 10%($630) for the surgery to set a date. The staff is amazing and very friendly. They will not judge you or make you feel uncomfortable. I had surgery on march 9th and everything was amazing. They also send you a booklet of information after you book your surgery. I would just have questions ready for them. You picked the right clinic!

Why did he gave to feel tr chest? Was it a breast screening exam to detect any abnormalities?
