Personally, I think it's a bit early to call this new baby a girl. We haven't asked hir yet!

I made a comment along these lines to a coworker today who piped up with "Hey, did you know that transsexual man gave birth to a girl?". To her credit it was followed quickly by "not that you'd necessarily be interested in every transsexual thing that happens". I replied that it may *not* be a girl and that they'd know for sure later, case in point they could discuss that issue with my mother if they wanted to. I think that's gotten her thinking. She's a fairly conservative Christian and we've had some interesting discussions.

i love how they keep saying he was "born a woman." seriously? he was born a full-grown woman?

I was ALSO born a full-grown woman. My mom had a hell of a time with the birth.
