I'm getting my name changed here in Alabama, and apparently I'm a real idiot when it comes to filling out forms, because there are some parts of the form I don't understand. They gave me three different papers. I understand the first one just fine; it's the common "What's your name, residence, etc?", but the other two make absolutely NO sense to me

So you guys had no problems at all with the name change? A friend of mine told me that they wouldn't give you the name change unless you've been living at your current residence for a certain length of time, and since I've only been in this apartment for about two months, I'm not sure if it would work.

I've done everything to this point (therapy, T, and name change) in Alabama. When I made the decision to transition, I was in the middle of moving to Alabama, and I wanted to give myself 5-6 months to get settled here before starting (August 2005).
My therapist is very difficult to get a hold us, but she was wonderful to me. Annie M. Wells, Ph.D.

Another place is the libary. Bigger libaries usually have notarys.
