ok kids---who's had surgery with dr. reardon in nyc?

i just made a consult appoitment with him, but the price range is from 5,000 - 10,000. i wouldn't even bother paying him the $100 to look at my chest if i knew it was going to be any more then 6500....

but he's good and close to me. and has avalible appoitments.

any opinions?

I haven't had surgery with him... YET... but he is who I'm planning on going to in the next few months. I've talked to him extensively about his procedure and I've seen one guy's chest in person who used him. Just an opinion, but his work seems a lot more realistic to me, there are a few pics on Transster and some in the Yahoo Group 'ftmsurgeryinfo.' He's very easy to talk to. If you're unsure about plunking down the cash before you're ready, talk with him on the phone. He called me numerous times and was great. The only complaints I've ever heard about him is in reference to how he leaves some tissue behind, however, he explains this as his way to contour the chest so it looks more like masculine "pecs." Hope this helps... if I have my surgery as soon as I hope, I'll be sharing the pics so I'll post to the community. Take care. -AJ

I'm not a fan of his work really. I find Brownstein to provide the most consistant, most asthetically pleasing results. Clugston has also offered wonderful results. It's a shame, as I'm in NY, and it would be quite cost efficient to go to Reardon. The way I figure it, If I'm paying any where near this ammount of money, it better be for the best result possible. I want to be proud to take my shirt off. That being said, if nipple sensation is important to you, then Reardon is you're man... and if you are tiny to begin with, he's got the rep for the best peri.

My personal opinion on all this is all based upon my real life viewing of double incision results from both surgeons.

hmm..i feel the same way. i was going to go out to dr. raphel but decided to try and stay east. and if i'm going to shell out big buck then yeah, i'd go to brownstein in a second cuz i think he is the best, but i just don't want to spend over 8,000 for it.

its a toss up. i don't care about nipple sensation actaully. i just want afforable and close. and i think i might be blowing my $100 on his consult.

if you want to stay east, there are a couple surgeons in MA, some in VA, and i think alter keeps an office in NY.

My therapist got his chest done by Reardon and recommended him to me. Consultation was all kosher, so I did it. My chest was $7500, but I’m fat. There is no way in hell I am going back for a free revision cuz his operating room was nasty ass (I guess my therapist didn’t think so). I remember thinking this is my only chance to do this and held my breath. My friend said that they emptied the stuff from my drains down the sink. I have big ass scars but I think that might be my fault thought.

ask around a *lot* about reardon--i've known some people who've gotten surgery with him, and some were happy, and others were not happy. in terms of results and quality of care.

if you're small and want periareolar, check out beverly fischer in baltimore--she does good peri work.

I had mine done with Reardon almost two years ago. His staff is great, he's quick and to the point and the results I got far surpassed any that I've seen of Brownstein. I have NO scars and full sensation. Pay the money, he's worth it.
