Sharing a laugh from my birthday.

Thank you all (a couple of days late) for various birthday wishes and greetings. And, in the case of antof9 and bookczuk, one amazing "Ta Ta" glass, complete with tiara! LOVE it! I totally heart jpb. And this part might be my fave:

She settled once and for all time the beauty-brains conundrum
By winning judges to her ways (and not by humping undr-‘em)

Believe me, you would totally heart him in person, too.
And yes, that IS my favorite line. Once again, you and I are in each other's heads.

The ability to rhyme anything with "conundrum" is impressive. To coin the phrase "humping undr'-em", divine.

Send jpb some smooches from me for that.

Wondering who I have to sleep with to get one of those jobs as a pageant judge...

No, just kidding.

Just being in the same city is excitement enough! Charleston has stopped talking about the war, and is now saying, "Wow, what was that??? Who was that woman?"

I've been loading up my iPod with music to play in the cab, and "Sentimental Swing" is one of my picks. Great songs from great days.

Thanks, Pete.
Charleston was a hoot! I'm not sure that beautiful city has yet recovered from the ruckus Team Oh Bother raised at trivia night.
Glad you're enjoying the CD. (I've drafted the friend who wrote this poem into singing with FSR...he may never be the same.)

It's been a dream of mine to be in the audience for one of your concerts. Just give me a week's notice, and I'll be there!
