...and i am using this icon because i so rarely get to use it anymore. but anyway--

While my Internet was being stupid, I took the liberty of heading off to the shower and I got to thinking about this fic and the dynamics of the Troika and how it changes from this AU to a year after, when Trials of Rikkai happens and Sanada and Yukimura seem to have found level ground.

I love the way Yanagi's mind works. I don't really know what he had in mind by not showing up on time for this one, but where my mind is speculating, I like what thoughts are milling about.

Sometimes it seems like Yukimura can only handle it when they are a group, a unit. One-on-one unsettles him after too long, except when it's Muraoka-senpai, and tennis.

This. I can't help but hearken back to that fic you wrote, the one in the first person from Yukimura's pov and how in terms of tennis there is a huge difference between Seiichi and Renji + Genichirou. It's not as pronounced in the anime, because (a) we don't really get that much focus on Rikkai as much as say...

Sometimes it seems like Yukimura can only handle it when they are a group, a unit. One-on-one unsettles him after too long, except when it's Muraoka-senpai, and tennis. By the time we see them, the Troika is a highly defined unit, woven together extremely tightly and subsequently lopsided because Yukimura isn't present and it's so easy to think that they became instant friends from the first moment they stepped on the courts

I think something that other writers (I was guilty of this too) in the midst of all the undercurrent in the anime (kindly see all the scenes wherein Sanada speaks to Yukimura in the hospital), is that Renji is inexplicably tied to the two. And what I honestly love about reading fic that you two write is that you address this.

Am doing canon-checks with Rika right now cos she has been hounding me with much love for more TGT fic and I'm doing the whole juggling act of incorporating Pre-Monarchy (this is what I am calling this already lololololololol) into everything. Shit, continuity, y such a bitch. ;u;

That was one thing that got to me about a lot of fic out there - even the ones that feature Yanagi heavily, ship him with one of the other two, it's rare to see the bond between the three of them explored.

We need to find some time when we're all around. Hopefully some time this weekend. I want to see more of these TGT fics and explore some of this. :D

i'll be at work from 9am-6pm my time tomorrow before i head off to meet up with from friends for dinner, but i will make sure to be on gtalk the whole time i'm seated at the computer.

the TGT fics are currently being plotted. i realized that i need to flesh out a bunch of things like eiri's place amongst the boys and how that happened which is leading me to explore the bunta-yukimura friendship and how that happened. will also need to go into the relationships between the girls. i know i owe em one where sae and mayuki talk, some more insight into asari and i need to start highlighting mayu.

8D clearly, i am once again en route to frying my brain-- but i put together all the info in a file and will be printing them out to put in a clearbook for reference 8DDDD
