I've used pirated na CS2 on my Mac tapos it kept asking for a number (hindi serial e, parang activation ewan). I didn't have the crack so I stopped using when the 30 day limit expired.
A friend brought her Mac to Ynzal and they let her choose w/c programs she wanted pero yun nga, pirated.
You can open MS Word files using Pages, and PPT files using Keynote. Minsan may konting discrepancy sa formatting, pero okay lang. My dad bought iWork and he likes Keynote kasi he can open his officemates' PPT files but they can't copy his Keynote presentations kasi di naman nila mabubuksan. LOL. You can also save docs/presentations as .doc or .ppt if you want Windows users to open your files.
If not, you can always buy the Office for Mac student ed. Wait for the new one if you can, diba shipping soon?

Oh good to know na the Mac programs can open those file formats. Yun lang yung takot ko na mamaya I'm stuck with programs that only a few people use (or so I think!).
Amazon's shipping the new Office for Mac na but it's $130. Ang barat ko, parang I'd rather buy iWork at $69.99 eh. Hahahaha :)
