A small beach actually feels pretty, homey, huh? It feels a lot different than an actual city.

With all these Pokemon things in the ocean here, I wonder if they have something like an aquarium? Could I even start my own? [There's a weak laugh out of her ( Read more... )

[so, here is kyoko, and lickitung. coming out rather unfocused from the cherrygrove pokémart, holding a bag of food... purchased, somehow, with the money she got from that fake-mom lady, and from working a little bit.

she walks in the direction of the beach, just to... wander and think, but there's a very familiar face there. at first she almost drops her bag of food in shock, but she gets a grip on it and avoids dropping it.]

Is that...

[guess what. she's running over to the beach, now, lickitung trailing slowly (very slowly) behind her. she tries to be sneaky as she gets closer; one to make sure that it really was sayaka sitting there on the beach, and another to... sneak up on her.

but yeah, from that uniform and that hair... it's all sayaka.]

It is... [and then her lickitung is catching up with her. she waves him to stay there, because like hell she's going to meet sayaka again with a drooling... thing. and she knew how bad it got with other pokemon.]

[so she's approaching, quietly, and she stops just short of sayaka. a looomy shadow.

there's a small pause before she talks. but when she does, it's... casual.]

Enjoying the view?

[The speed that she's hitting Marill's tail slows a little, but it's still going. Sayaka doesn't turn to face Kyoko, but rather continues with her "Paddleball" game.]

Hehe, excuse me, but-- Could you be named Sayaka by any chance?

... ... ...

[She turns to the Pokegear, stopping her Paddleball activity all at once. She stares into the screen and her eyes slightly narrow to a squint.]

How do you know my name?

Ah, you are!

A friend of yours is really worried about you. You should try calling her - Kyoko, I think - as soon as you can.

"Worried about me", huh?

[She mutters that under her breath and lets out a huge sigh.]

I'll keep that in mind...? [Your name. What is it?]

A bit.

[She continues playing Paddleball with Marill's tail, not facing the Pokegear's screen.]

There isn't much to do in Cherrygrove, so I guess I don't blame you.

Still pretty homey here, not like a huge city. I kinda like it.

[ Kairi and Seafoam the Sea...dra are kind of watching this, somewhat entranced. ]

Just a little. [thoughtful] Did you come from a big city?

Yeah, I did. [She pauses her game of Paddleball to look over to the screen.] It's a huge difference.

Probably a lot more convenient, huh. But a good thing about small towns like these are the little things you can't find in big ones.

Like quiet beaches.

[She chuckles lightly.]

Yeah. It's usually noisy in big cities too.
