For me, fanfiction is as old as writing itself to me. If I knew how at the time, I would have written Hot Wheels fanfic based on the now-largely-forgotten 1960s TV series. But back then, I was not quite in Kindergarten. I doubt I would have had much in the way of quality ideas.

Fanfiction is a creative outlet for you. You don't intentionally write it, it just happens. You find inspiration in several fandoms, but are not obsessed with only one.
